No, Sandra Oh is not watching Grey’s Anatomy in her free time

Since her breakout role on Grey's Anatomy, Sandra Oh has become one of the more known actors in Hollywood, and we love to see it! She's such a talent and deserves to spread her wings into other ventures after her tenure on the ABC medical drama. Though, it's probably the series she's most known for, even after all this time, and asked about the most as well.

One of the more recent questions came her way asking if she watches reruns of the show that's made her a household name. However, the answer is definitely a no from the actress. At the Gold House 4th Annual Gold Gala, she told PEOPLE, "I gotta tell you, I've put that gently aside."

Sandra Oh has moved on from Grey's Anatomy

Look, some actors who either leave their series or it has come to an end will continue to have the same passion and nostalgia for it, just like us fans. And there's others, like Oh, who move on to focus on other projects and just look back at that time as something in the past, learning from it and growing. They're no less passionate, but they sort of move on. And I think that's what's happened with Oh.

Honestly, we can't really blame her. You have to remember that us fans, we live and breathe a show that we love. And if that does simmer down a bit, we still gravitate towards a series like Grey's Anatomy for the stability and nostalgia. Especially those first few seasons that, in my opinion, were the medical drama's prime. But for actors, this is their job. Again, I'm sure there's passion there. Though like anyone who makes a move in their career, you move on and put it behind you.

Oh left Grey's Anatomy after season 10, feeling that she'd given her character Cristina Yang everything she could, creatively. It's a fair decision, especially with the fact that the series is still going on at ABC. The star has also said numerous times that she is not interested in reprising her role. Though that's the case, the character is still alive in the story with mentions and phone calls, so she's not completely gone from the fictional hospital world.

I mean, even lead star Ellen Pompeo as Meredith Grey has stepped back herself from being on the series full time at this point. So, if the lead star is doing it, you can't blame everyone else. And I really don't blame Oh. Cristina was one of my favorite characters, though it's been such a long time now since she's been gone. Would it be great to even just get a cameo? For sure. Though just like the actress, I think we all need to move on as well.
